The best-kept secret in municipality organization!
Online Townships was an original thought of CaddisArt, Inc. in 2001. As many calls came in to find a solution for busy municipalities, we put our heads together and noses to the grindstone. Our original thought was to find an easy-to-use solution for township clerks and administrators to pass information on to the public without the burdon of calling a web designer or developer. As a direct result, our QnE CMS (Content Management System) was created. This system allows you to easily update the content, photos and documents that reside on your website using a Word-like interface. However, we didn't stop there.
We also realized that the township clerk still had an enormous task list of creating and updating the content on a daily or weekly basis. Each department was submitting content to the clerk either by email or paper, further increasing the clerk's duties. This quickly became unacceptable. It was simply too much work. We then decided to create a user administration system that allowed department heads to login to the system and submit their own content. The township clerk now only held the responsibility to add the user to the system and send them an email with their login credentials. Perfect!
Today, the system is better than ever. We took great pride in creating a system that was not only easy for the township to use, but also spread the responsibility around the municipality. Department heads, and administrators are now creating and managing their own content on a daily basis. We have recieved very few support phone calls about this system because of it's ease of use.
